Description
The employer is hiring a full-time, on-site High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Engineer in Houston, Texas. The role designs, deploys, operates, optimizes, and supports large-scale HPC platforms for scientific and engineering workloads, including cluster and storage configuration, troubleshooting, security, performance monitoring, software and operating-system upgrades, and collaboration with computational scientists and technical stakeholders. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, at least five years administering Linux-based production environments and five years supporting production HPC environments, along with expertise in HPC technologies, Linux systems administration, scripting, monitoring, automation, and MPI.
