Description
The High School Athletic Director plans, organizes, and oversees interscholastic athletic programs at the building level, supervising coaches and student-athletes, managing schedules, facilities, transportation, equipment, budgets, fundraising, eligibility, safety, and compliance. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in education, sports management, or a related field, secondary-school coaching or athletic-administration experience, knowledge of MHSAA and league regulations, organizational and leadership skills, and current CPR/First Aid certification. The position requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, frequent attendance at athletic events, and supervision of indoor and outdoor activities.
