Description
The High School SPED Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to high school students with diverse learning needs, helping them access the general curriculum and reach academic, behavioral, and social potential. Responsibilities include developing Individualized Education Programs, adapting lessons, collaborating with general education teachers and families, monitoring student progress, and providing behavioral and emotional support. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field, valid Special Education teaching certification, strong classroom management and communication skills, and preferably experience with high school students with mild to moderate disabilities.
