Samtec is hiring a permanent HIGH DATA RATE APPLICATIONS ENGINEER in Kanagawa, Japan. The role customizes standard electronic interconnect products for customer applications, coordinates with customers and internal engineering, sales, procurement, and production teams, assigns custom part numbers, manages engineering change requests, reviews designs and prints, prepares cost sheets, and supports product concepts through release and production. The position requires 3–5 years of inside or technical sales experience, a technical background, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or an equivalent technical discipline; English business communication is required. The role is based in Yokohama, Kanagawa, with a 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. schedule, occasional customer and trade-show travel, and no relocation or housing allowance.
