Description
The Nevada Department of Transportation is hiring a Highway Construction Aid in Reno, Nevada for winter employment. The role performs unskilled highway maintenance and construction support, including road and shoulder repair, debris removal, vegetation control, traffic control, flagging, minor patching, surveying, field testing, documentation, and shop and vehicle maintenance. The position is on-site, may require inclement weather, and may involve five 8-hour or four 10-hour shifts. Minimum qualifications are waived until December 31, 2026, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
