Description
The County Highway Maintenance Operator operates light equipment, tractors, trucks, and other vehicles to maintain county road rights of way and deliver construction materials. The role also performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair, roadside vegetation and debris work, asphalt patching, traffic control, drainage maintenance, and equipment inspections. It requires one year of general maintenance or light-equipment experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license plus a CDL A or B. The position pays $23.29 per hour, works under a Foreman, and may require overtime, weekends, and holidays.
