Description
Downer Energy & Utilities is hiring a Hire Manager to lead its regional Hire Control function and manage vehicles, plant, equipment, tooling, container solutions, and temporary buildings across operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager – Internal Asset Management, the role leads Hire Controllers and Coordinators, oversees equipment sourcing and allocation, optimises asset utilisation and fleet performance, supports bid and business development activities, and drives compliance, reporting, process improvement, and asset-management technology adoption. The position requires leadership experience in hire, fleet, asset management, logistics, or equipment operations, along with stakeholder engagement, asset planning, cost control, safety, compliance, and continuous-improvement capabilities.
