Description
The HIS Specialist Floater supports San Ysidro Health’s Health Information Services by sorting and scanning medical records, referrals, lab reports, consultations, and other documents; uploading them to the electronic health record; processing authorizations and medical-record requests; coordinating with providers, patients, attorneys, insurers, and quality auditors; and maintaining related logs. The role requires frequent travel to designated clinic sites, availability for evenings and weekends, and coverage of SYHealth facilities as needed. A high school diploma or GED, bilingual English/Spanish ability, basic computer and medical-terminology knowledge, and 35 words per minute typing speed are required; 1–2 years of HIS or medical-records experience and a Medical Terminology Certificate are preferred.
