Description
Altasciences is hiring a Histology Technician/Histology Technologist to prepare and process tissue samples for histopathologic evaluation in a laboratory research environment. The role includes tissue trimming, paraffin processing and embedding, microtomy, routine hematoxylin and eosin staining, coverslipping, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, raw-data and inventory documentation, hazardous-chemical records, and maintaining a safe, clean laboratory. An associate degree in science is preferred, along with at least one year of laboratory experience or training; minimal experience may be supported through training. The position requires English proficiency, basic computer and Microsoft Office skills, basic math for reagent preparation, tissue identification, microtomy, H&E staining, and HT (ASCP) eligibility within one year.
