Description
The Homeland Security Planner develops, coordinates, evaluates, and maintains grant-funded emergency management, homeland security, continuity of operations, and preparedness plans for Harris County. The role coordinates with local, regional, state, and federal partners; supports workshops, drills, exercises, training, and special projects; analyzes preparedness data; prepares planning documents; and may respond to the Emergency Operations Center during emergencies. It is a grant-funded full-time position with an annual salary of $65,000 to $70,000, primarily office-based with possible travel and extended or non-traditional hours during activations.
