Description
Old Dominion University is hiring three full-time Honors Advisors in Norfolk, Virginia. The role provides comprehensive programmatic advising to honors students, supports timely degree completion, guides course selection and registration, resolves academic and administrative issues, monitors progress, conducts outreach to students in difficulty, implements retention initiatives, maintains advising records, and supports campus events and student success initiatives. Applicants need a master’s degree preferably in higher education, counseling, or a related advising field, advising knowledge, strong interpersonal and written communication skills, technology comfort, FERPA knowledge, and experience working with undergraduate and graduate students; previous academic advising, coaching, or related higher education student services experience is preferred.
