Description
The Captain is responsible for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger, including dredging campaigns, navigation, hopper loading, stability, discharge methods, bridge and dredging-team coordination, passage planning, DP/joystick supervision, regulatory compliance, emergency response, crew leadership, and vessel maintenance. The role requires a valid COC and Class 1 Master endorsement, GMDSS, medical fitness, STCW certificates, and 10 years of onboard Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger experience.
