Description
The horticulturist is responsible for maintaining and caring for assigned gardens, greenhouses, and grounds on a hospital property, with a focus on aesthetic appeal, patient safety, and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. The role includes planting and maintaining beds and planters, controlling weeds and pests, managing irrigation and greenhouse systems, using power tools and CAD documentation, supporting experiential therapy horticulture programs, performing off-season maintenance and snow removal, and interacting professionally with patients, residents, and staff. The position requires extensive horticultural experience, a horticulture-related degree or certification, computer proficiency, and a valid Wisconsin driver license.
