Description
The hospice aide provides personal care and supportive services under the supervision of a registered nurse, following the patient’s plan of care to promote comfort, safety, and continuity. Duties include bathing, hygiene, dressing, feeding assistance, skin care, mobility support, range of motion, light homemaker tasks, documentation, and reporting changes or concerns. The role also requires compliance with hospice philosophy, state reporting obligations, and limits that prevent the aide from performing nursing functions.
