Description
The Hospice Aide works under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide personal care, hygiene, mobility, positioning, feeding, observation, documentation, and respite support to terminally ill patients and their families. The role requires completion of a state-approved certified nursing assistant course or equivalent training, NAC certification, current CPR certification, a Food Handlers Permit, a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a licensed automobile. Prior hospice, orderly, acute, rehabilitative, or long-term care experience is required, while one year of home health or hospice experience is preferred.
