Description
The Hospice Team Physician provides comprehensive medical care to patients with serious, advanced, and life-limiting conditions in an interdisciplinary hospice setting. Responsibilities include symptom management, medication decisions, care planning, medical direction, interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical documentation, consultation with advanced practice providers, and participation in quality initiatives. The role is based in Dayton, Ohio, covers the Southern Ohio region, includes face-to-face and telehealth services, requires weekend and on-call availability, and may involve travel within Ohio. The position requires an MD or DO degree, an unrestricted Ohio medical license, current DEA registration, CPR certification, and the ability to complete credentialing and background checks; hospice, palliative care, hospital medicine, or terminal-care experience is preferred.
