Description
Hospice volunteers provide comfort, companionship, and practical support to patients and families during end-of-life care. Responsibilities include friendly visits, respite support for caregivers, bereavement outreach by phone or letter, basic administrative help, and accurate documentation of visit notes and time logs. The role requires compassion, communication skills, completion of hospice volunteer training, and the ability to pass background and health screening; it is a flexible volunteer commitment of about 1–4 hours per week.
