Description
The Manager of Hospital Billing oversees the operations and management of Patient Financial Services, including billing, collections, cash management, regulatory compliance, performance management, training, and long-term strategy. The role supervises billing specialists, manages Medicare and other government and patient claims, resolves denials and billing discrepancies, prepares compliance and financial reports, supports accounting and clinical operations, and addresses patient billing concerns. It requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, at least five years of hospital billing experience including two years in a supervisory role, California collection law and insurance billing knowledge, and proficiency with billing software and electronic health records.
