Description
The House Assistant supports veterans in transitioning back into their communities by helping them become more independent, providing daily living support such as transportation to appointments, employment, and recreation, and maintaining living environments through cleaning, cooking, and outdoor upkeep. The role collaborates with the House Manager, submits reports and documentation, follows house rules and policies, and may require a flexible schedule. A high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, a valid New York State driver’s license, and the ability to lift at least 35 pounds are required; one year of veteran-service experience and Narcan certification are preferred.
