Description
The Reverse Mortgage Housing Counselor provides face-to-face and phone counseling and education to consumers considering reverse mortgages, including HECM, Home Safe, and Equity Elite products. The role explains payment options, costs, tax implications, benefits, and risks; administers and files HUD-compliant paperwork; maintains client records; supports referrals, reporting, office procedures, service delivery, and professional relationships; and assists with marketing and workshops. The position requires HECM and HUD counseling certification, at least one year of HECM counseling experience or equivalent experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and full in-office attendance five days per week.
