Description

Booz Allen is hiring a Human Physiology Systems Advisor to provide technical and strategic support for ARPA-H research and development programs involving tissue and organoid manufacturing, organ preservation, ex vivo organ perfusion and diagnostics, and other translational technologies. The role evaluates technologies, conducts landscape analyses, assesses proposals and program risks, supports program management, and prepares recommendations and briefing materials. It is a hybrid position based in Washington, District of Columbia, with up to 25% travel, and offers an annualized salary of $69,400 to $158,000.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master’s degree in Physiology, Systems Biology, Bioengineering, Tissue Engineering, or Regenerative Medicine
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of experience in transplantation, organ preservation, transplant surgery, or transplant medicine
Doctorate degree and 7+ years of experience in transplantation, organ preservation, transplant surgery, or transplant medicine
Experience supporting complex R&D efforts involving academic, clinical, or industrial stakeholders
Experience in organ preservation, ex vivo organ perfusion and diagnostics, transplant biology, regenerative medicine, or translational bioengineering
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in transplantation, including clinical, translational, or operational work related to donor organ recovery, preservation, allocation, or implantation
Experience working with HRSA, OPTN, UNOS, organ procurement organizations, transplant centers, tissue banks, or cross-sector organ recovery programs
Experience with the practical and policy dimensions of the U.S. transplant ecosystem
Experience with organ perfusion technologies for assessment, preservation, repair, or treatment of donor organs
Experience with translational and commercialization challenges, including manufacturability, quality systems, reimbursement, regulatory considerations, and clinical adoption barriers
Strong team-oriented and interpersonal skills
