Description
The Install Technician leads residential and light commercial HVAC installation crews, installing and commissioning ductless mini-split and air-source heat pump systems. The role coordinates projects, troubleshoots mechanical, refrigerant, and electrical issues, documents compliance with OSHA, NEC, and applicable codes, and mentors junior installers and apprentices. Candidates need at least five years of HVAC installation experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel daily to job sites; EPA 608 Universal Certification and HVAC technical training are preferred.
