Description
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is hiring a Hydraulic / Bridge Engineer for its Laredo District at one of several Transportation Engineer levels (II, III, or IV). The role performs complex transportation engineering involving bridge design, inspection, rehabilitation, replacement, drainage and hydraulics, project and consultant management, plan preparation, estimates, contracts, and compliance with engineering standards. Applicants need an accepted bachelor's degree in engineering or related science, five to seven years of relevant engineering experience depending on level, a valid United States driver's license, and a Professional Engineer license, with additional bridge inspection training or certification required within one year of hire. The position is safety-impact, physically demanding, and requires a pre-employment physical and drug testing.
