Description

SLB is hiring a Hydrometallurgical Process Engineer to perform process engineering calculations, design hydrometallurgical systems, size utilities and equipment, prepare technical deliverables, support HAZOP and other safety studies, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and assist with start-up, troubleshooting, and facility support. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, 7 to 10 years of hydrometallurgy process engineering experience, familiarity with critical-minerals flowsheets and hydrometallurgical unit operations, and the ability to work on multiple projects while traveling as needed.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
Required Previous Experiences: 7 to 10 years of hydrometallurgy process engineering experience
Experience at an engineering consulting firm, technology provider, or owner’s engineering team
Experience with process simulations, P&IDs, BFD, PFDs, heat and material balance, equipment datasheets, design basis, control philosophy, and process descriptions
Experience designing hydrometallurgical circuits, including ion exchange, solvent extraction, precipitation, solid-liquid separation, evaporation/crystallization, and membrane concentration and filtration
Experience with equipment selection and sizing, bill of materials, cost estimation, documentation, and controls
Experience designing, commissioning, and interpreting hydrometallurgical test programs at bench, pilot, and demonstration scales
Experience scaling up processes and equipment
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s or PhD
Exposure to critical minerals flowsheets
