Description
The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Technician will install, inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems at the Baytown UMO/HDT plant. Responsibilities include working with 480V motors, motor starters, VFDs, MCCs, transformers, circuit breakers, and electrical distribution systems; reading P&IDs, schematics, and equipment manuals; and responding to emergency callouts and on-call rotations. The role requires a high school diploma or technical or trade school graduation, typically 5–7 years of related experience, and knowledge of NEC requirements, hazardous-area classifications, grounding, bonding, and intrinsically safe systems.
