North Point Technology is hiring an Ignition Developer in Warren, Michigan to support a ground-up manufacturing automation implementation for a major automotive manufacturer. The role focuses on designing and programming Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/GuardLogix PLCs, developing Ignition HMI/SCADA applications, integrating PLCs with MES systems, implementing production traceability and label-printing workflows, and commissioning controls systems through production launch. The position requires hands-on experience with PLC programming, Ignition, PLC-to-MES integration, manufacturing transactions, and commissioning, with a preference for experience in automotive or high-volume discrete manufacturing.
