GuidePoint Security is hiring an Illumio Zero Trust Segmentation Platform Engineer to architect and implement Zero Trust segmentation policies, configure and optimize Illumio Core and Edge across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments, develop workflows and segmentation models, integrate security and automation systems, analyze traffic, troubleshoot platform issues, and manage policy governance. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, substantial cybersecurity and infrastructure experience, and is 100% onsite in Reston, Virginia or the Washington, D.C. area.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Associate’s degree with 5+ years of IT project support experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years, or Master’s degree with 1+ year of IT project support experience
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure engineering
3+ years of Linux/Windows, virtualization, and cloud experience
2+ years developing and deploying solutions in highly regulated mission-critical environments
1+ year of infrastructure automation experience
1+ year of REST API, scripting, or automation experience
Preferred Qualifications: Experience deploying and managing Illumio Adaptive Security Platform in enterprise environments
Experience with CMDB, SIEM, SOAR, or vulnerability management systems
Knowledge of Zero Trust, micro-segmentation, and lateral movement mitigation
Ability to translate policies into technical controls
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
