The role involves designing mathematical models for complex tracking and navigation problems, defining validation protocols, and bridging the gap between software and hardware to ensure optimal sensor and optical system performance. The engineer will advance image processing and computer vision prototypes into production-ready software solutions, focusing on multi-feature and target tracking, statistical error analysis, data filtering, trade studies, hardware-software integration, and API design.
