Description

Acclaim Technical Services is recruiting an Image Processing SME to support its Mission Technology and Solutions Business Unit in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The role focuses on analyzing and developing algorithms to correct scientific image data, including aberrations, lensing defects, optical anomalies, distortions, and non-linearity, with additional expertise in object detection, feature extraction, pattern recognition, image stitching, preprocessing, large-image optimization, and machine learning. The position requires a TS/SCI w/ poly clearance and typically a master’s degree or PhD in a relevant technical field. The proposed salary range is $220,000-$230,000, with healthcare and other benefits available.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience analyzing and developing algorithms to correct scientific image data containing aberrations, lensing defects, optical anomalies, distortions, and non-linearity.
Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in developing algorithms for object detection, feature extraction, and pattern recognition in high-resolution microscope images.
Proficiency in stitching multiple images into seamless mosaics, including alignment, blending, and geometric transformations.
Familiarity with image preprocessing techniques such as noise reduction, contrast enhancement, and edge detection.
Ability to handle large, high-resolution image datasets and optimize algorithms for performance and accuracy.
Knowledge of training and deploying machine learning models for real-time or batch image analysis.
Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.
Experience writing software for a government agency, laboratory, or corporate entity working with imagery data.
