Description

GrammaTech, Inc. is hiring an Image Processing SME in Fort Meade, Maryland to develop and refine algorithms for correcting and enhancing high-resolution scientific and microscopy data, address optical distortions and other imaging issues, extract features, and build scalable processing solutions for large datasets. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, prior experience developing scientific-image-correction algorithms and working in classified or mission-focused environments, and a master’s or PhD in a relevant technical field. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: Experience developing algorithms to correct scientific image data, including aberrations, distortions, and optical anomalies
Strong background in image processing, analysis, and enhancement techniques
Experience working in classified or mission-focused environments
Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in object detection, feature extraction, and pattern recognition in high-resolution imagery, with microscopy experience preferred
Experience with image stitching, alignment, blending, and geometric transformations
Familiarity with noise reduction, contrast enhancement, and edge detection
Ability to process and optimize large-scale, high-resolution datasets
Experience developing, training, and deploying machine learning models for image analysis
Prior work supporting government agencies, national labs, or defense contractors in imagery or scientific data analysis
Experience operating in secure environments and working with classified datasets
