KBR is hiring an Image Processing Software Engineer Intern for a summer-based, on-site internship at the Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The intern will develop software products, design and test components, coordinate with mentors and project leads, manage configuration changes, and participate in code reviews. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent, Python and C/C++ experience, database and Unix/Linux experience, and three years of continuous U.S. residency for government security credential issuance. Desired skills include Postgres, remote sensing and image processing, AWS, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and artificial intelligence for code generation.
