Description
The Imaging Referrals Scheduler receives and triages imaging exam requests, obtains medical history and medical necessity, verifies orders, screens for contraindications, provides patient education, and schedules exams across imaging modalities and sites. The role also coordinates appointments with outside facilities, requests outside records, uses electronic systems, supports onboarding, and maintains HIPAA confidentiality. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while prior medical office experience, EMR experience, medical terminology knowledge, and strong communication and decision-making skills are preferred.
