Description
HRL Laboratories is hiring an IMU Evaluation and Characterization Engineer to lead end-to-end inertial measurement unit evaluation, characterization, validation, and maturation from prototype through low-rate production. The role owns sensor performance analysis, environmental and dynamic testing, failure and yield investigations, test automation, system-level validation, documentation, and cross-functional readiness activities. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D., at least five years of sensor development experience, strong inertial-sensor and hardware knowledge, and proficiency with MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools. The position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, with a California salary range of $154,500 to $197,900 and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
