Description
The Chemical Waste Incineration Operator will operate, monitor, start up, and shut down chemical waste incineration equipment and accessory systems, including APC, at a power plant. The role maintains permit parameters, responds to alarms, follows burn plans, records operational data, supports maintenance, and ensures safe and compliant waste treatment. A high school diploma or GED is required, an associate’s degree in environmental skills is preferred, and five years of hazardous waste or control-room power plant experience is required. The position requires a boiler license, respirator certification, emergency response training, and Hazwoper training, and includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and other benefits.
