Description
The Smith County District Court is seeking an independent contractor attorney to provide zealous legal representation to indigent defendants in felony criminal cases in the 475th District Court. The contract begins October 1, 2026, and ends September 30, 2027. Applicants must maintain Texas law-practice qualifications, a principal office in Smith County, and compliance with the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure and Texas Administrative Code. The position is freelance and does not provide employee benefits.
