Description
Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Industrial Engineering and Operations Research specialist in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The role leads complex projects to improve semiconductor fab productivity, efficiency, cost of ownership, capacity, staffing, and cycle time through Lean Operations, Six Sigma, operations research, simulation, value-stream analysis, and business process re-engineering. The specialist will assess current processes, develop improvement roadmaps, coach Champions and Process Owners, present recommendations to executives, and manage risk and resources in a matrix organization. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, at least three years of continuous improvement experience, and preferably seven or more years of semiconductor industry experience; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred. Travel is required 20%–30% of the time, and relocation is not eligible.
