Description
This apprenticeship prepares industrial mechanics to keep machines and production systems operational. Trainees learn to produce, set up, install, assemble, adjust, and test machinery; diagnose malfunctions; order or manufacture spare parts; perform repairs; and train colleagues or customers in equipment operation. In machine and precision engineering, the work also includes machining metal and plastic components by turning, milling, drilling, and grinding, plus welding or screwing assemblies together. The program includes supervised workplace rotation, practical and theoretical exam preparation, plant instruction, and trainee support from the company training team.
