Description
The Infection Control Nurse plans, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates infection control programs in skilled nursing facilities, investigates outbreaks, analyzes infection data, educates staff and patients, consults with stakeholders, and provides nursing services such as immunization administration and wound surveillance. The role requires California RN or LVN licensure, California Infection Control Certification, BLS certification, and at least two years of nursing experience.
