Description
The Infection Preventionist will develop, implement, monitor, and improve the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center’s infection control program. The role oversees healthcare-associated infection surveillance, outbreak investigation, disease-specific infection control plans, cleaning and sterilization, environmental and biosafety risks, regulatory compliance, staff education, occupational health, and quality improvement. It requires a bachelor’s degree in an applied clinical science, five years of relevant clinical experience for non-nurse applicants, current Massachusetts professional licensure where appropriate, CIC certification, and membership in APIC or SHEA.
