Description
The Infection Preventionist provides primary skin care and wound treatment to residents, conducts infection-prevention rounds and data collection, investigates outbreaks and incidents, trains staff, and maintains infection-prevention supplies. The role also assesses and manages skin disorders, coordinates referrals, supports rehabilitation, and provides preventative health recommendations. It requires an LPN/RN with current unencumbered licensure, CPR certification, and at least two years of experience; wound certification is preferred.
