Parallel is hiring an information retrieval engineer to build and operate a large-scale full-text index over the web. The role covers corpus selection, searchable data structures, source-quality and freshness signals, retrieval models, query serving, bottleneck anticipation, and architectural evolution. The position requires strong knowledge of information retrieval, distributed systems, and performance tuning, along with a bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and professional experience.
