Description

PA Consulting is hiring a SOC Analyst to support its Group Systems Security Operations Centre by monitoring and investigating security alerts, triaging incidents, coordinating containment and remediation, conducting threat hunting, developing detections and automation, supporting forensic and vulnerability analysis, and participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota. The role requires practical SOC, incident response, security monitoring, detection engineering, or related technical security experience, strong log analysis and correlation skills, SIEM and EDR/XDR experience, and UK residency for at least five years to obtain the required security clearance. Hybrid working is arranged with two to three days per week in the office.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Practical experience in a SOC, incident response, security monitoring, detection engineering, or closely related technical security role
Experience using SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms to investigate alerts and support containment and remediation
Preferred Qualifications: Threat hunting, detection-rule development, alert tuning, malware analysis, or digital forensics experience
Knowledge of vulnerability and exposure management, penetration-testing remediation, and security-control assurance
Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, Cyber Essentials Plus, MITRE ATT&CK, or comparable security frameworks
Relevant certification or equivalent practical knowledge, such as CompTIA CySA+, a Cybersecurity degree, Microsoft Security Operations Analyst, or Security Blue Team qualifications
