Description
GFZ is hiring an Information Security Officer / Information Security Engineer to report to the Chief Information Security Officer and bridge technical security work with information security governance across GFZ and the Helmholtz Association. The role focuses on developing technical minimum standards and reference architectures, assessing architectures against protection requirements and threats, advising on the Cyber Resilience Act, translating ISMS requirements into actionable requirements, supporting security incidents and emergency exercises, and developing security guidelines. The position is based in Potsdam, is full-time with a two-year term, and requires a relevant university degree, several years of information security or security architecture experience, knowledge of modern IT architectures and relevant standards, and German C2 and English C1 proficiency.
