The City of Champaign is hiring an Information Technologies Director to serve as the City Manager’s chief information officer and lead strategic technology, security, governance, and delivery of municipal IT systems and services. The role supports public safety and emergency management systems, leads technology innovation, manages multidisciplinary IT teams, and balances strategic leadership with operational oversight. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least seven years of progressively responsible public sector IT experience including three years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, and experience leading technical staff. The position offers an annual starting salary of $161,224 to $225,705 plus fringe benefits, and requires residency within the city limits within six months of appointment.
