Salient is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to architect and own the cloud infrastructure powering its AI agents and financial-services platform. The role leads infrastructure architecture and technical reviews, builds AWS or GCP systems, develops scalable harnesses for coding agents, optimizes GPU-intensive AI serving, establishes reliability and observability practices, and improves developer platforms. It requires 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years at the senior or staff level in infrastructure or platform roles, along with expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and distributed systems. The position is based in San Francisco with four days in the office and offers medical, dental, and vision coverage.
