Upwind is hiring a highly technical Infrastructure Team Lead to establish and lead a new infrastructure team while taking ownership of the scalability, performance, and reliability of its fast-growing, high-load, multi-tenant systems. The role involves hands-on architecture, database and messaging-system work, performance optimization, production problem solving, and hiring and mentoring engineers. Candidates need at least five years of software development or architecture experience, two years of team-lead or technical-lead experience, a degree, and a proven record of measurable performance improvements; Java experience is a plus.
