Description
Mortenson is hiring an Innovation Engineer to advance robotics, autonomy, automation, rapid prototypes, construction process improvements, and custom-built tools from concept through deployment across construction projects. The role evaluates business cases and feasibility, estimates development costs and outcomes, partners with vendors and internal teams to design and test solutions, manages relationships and regulatory considerations, protects intellectual property, and measures operational results. It requires a technical or bachelor's degree, 2–5 years of relevant innovation or engineering experience, strong problem-solving and project-management abilities, construction or adjacent experience, Microsoft 365 and web application skills, estimating and scheduling capabilities, a driver's license, and up to 50% travel. The position is hybrid, pays $77,000–$115,600 base salary with location adjustments, offers benefits, and does not provide visa sponsorship.
