Description
TEKsystems is hiring Emergency Department Medical Coders for a fully remote, long-term contract position based out of Houston, Texas. The role reviews emergency department medical records and assigns ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M codes; applies coding guidelines, CMS regulations, NCCI edits, and payer requirements; supports charge capture, quality reviews, audits, and coding clarifications; and collaborates with coding leadership and client teams. Candidates must hold active AAPC or AHIMA certification, have at least two years of Emergency Department facility coding experience, and have injection and infusion coding experience. EPIC experience is preferred. The position pays $28.00–$30.00 per hour and may include medical, dental, vision, retirement, insurance, HSA, and other benefits.
