Description
The Inside Counter Sales Representative assists customers and contractors with product information, quotes, special orders, pricing, and delivery scheduling while generating sales and serving as a liaison between customers and purchasing, technical, design, and production staff. The role includes material takeoffs, technical assistance, order entry, invoicing, inventory management, cash-register operations, and customer follow-up. It requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years of building-materials industry experience, strong communication and customer-service skills, knowledge of building materials and construction, and the ability to work in office and outdoor environments.
