The Aircraft Inspector performs visual and functional inspections of aircraft and components during maintenance, identifies defects and discrepancies, evaluates maintenance work, inspects parts, performs weight and balance operations, completes logbook entries, and ensures compliance with FAA regulations and repair-station procedures. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate, familiarity with specified FAA regulations, and at least five years of commercial aircraft technician or inspector experience, with military aviation experience potentially applied under specified conditions.
